Here you will find the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which displays fantastic exhibits on players from the National Football League. McKinley Presidential Library & Museum

Spend a few hours or an entire day with your family at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum! There is something for everyone at this huge venue.

You can visit the McKinley National Memorial, where the 25th President lays to rest. Inside, experience the history museum. Here you’ll find exhibits on the life and times of William McKinley, and the history of Stark County. The exhibits are rotating so please check their website for most current exhibit information.

You will also find a fantastic science center, called Discover World, featuring interactive displays on prehistoric times. Lastly, don’t forget to plan for a stop at the planetarium, which is included with your museum admission! Visit the website for a schedule of current planetarium shows.

Pro Football Hall of Fame

Experience a one of kind museum when you take a trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame! Here you will see the Hall of Fame Gallery – this is a section that shows the Bronzed Bust of every Hall of Fame player. There are over 300!

You can also learn about the history of football at the The Lamar Hunt Super Bowl Gallery Chronicles. In this section you will find interactive kiosks and artifacts to help you learn about how the game of football began.

While here you can also see the Lombardi Trophy, Super Bowl Championship Rings, and more!

West Branch Trail

If you are into biking or walking, you can stop by the West Branch Trail, a 4.5 limestone trail that runs through several of the area’s parks. Both of the above locations, the McKinley Museum and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, are along the trail. The trail ends in Covered Bridge Park, where you can enjoy a picnic. Leashed pets are welcome on this trail. Parking is located at West Park off 9th Street, City Field Park, Water Works Park, or Stadium Park.

Canton Museum of Art

Located in downtown Canton in the arts district, you will find the Canton Museum of Art, which was founded in 1935. Throughout the year they host a variety of rotating exhibits, ranging from watercolors to ceramic sculpture exhibits. Currently and through the fall of 2022 you can view a historical exhibit on the History of American Printmaking.

Gervasi Vineyard

Visit the gorgeous 55 acre Gervasi vineyard, an excellent spot for wine lovers and travelers. Stop in for the day, evening, or plan to stay at some of their top notch luxury accommodations – including Tuscan-inspired Villas, a boutique inn, The Casa, or their restored Farmhouse from the early 1800s!

During your stay at the vineyard, listen to live music and taste some of their homemade wines. The  vineyard operates three restaurants, a coffee house, a cocktail lounge, and cigar bar. Clay’s Resort Jellystone Park

Another excellent and family friendly place to stay while visiting Canton, is a Yogi Bear Campground – Clay’s Resort Jellystone Park. If you have ever stayed at a Yogi Bear Jellystone campground, you know how fantastic and fun these campgrounds are! They offer cabins, campsites for RVs, and tent sites as well. The park currently features miniature golf, go-karts, batting cages, rides and more for enjoyment (15 Rides and Attractions). It is a free gate facility, which means you may pay as you play, with free parking, concessions and several pass options. They have a Halloween event coming up called the Fortress of Fear ScreamPark which is open on Friday and Saturday nights beginning September 23 through October.
